BEACH SESSIONS
Surf Port Lab regularly photographs surfers at local beaches, breaks, and swell windows.
These sessions are not booked in advance. They are simply a way of documenting the day, the conditions, and the people making the most of the ocean.
If you were photographed during one of these sessions, selected images will be made available for purchase as:

If you see Surf Port Lab photographing at the beach and think you may have been captured, you are welcome to get in touch.
When available, images can be found through Surf Port Lab galleries or requested directly. Please include the beach, date, approximate time, board description, wetsuit colour, and any other details that help identify you.
Digital images purchased from beach sessions include a personal/social use license. This means you can share the image on your personal social media, keep it for personal use, and make personal prints.
In some cases, Surf Port Lab may work with selected surfers on a simple image exchange for athlete promotion. This could include a small number of web-ready JPEG images or full size images for personal athlete promotion in return for agreed credit, tagging, collaborative posting or model release.
PRIVATE SURF PHOTOSHOOTS
Private surf photoshoots are designed for surfers who want dedicated coverage in the water.
These sessions are ideal for:

Sponsored or semi-sponsored surfers
Families or friends wanting surf images
Surfers wanting high-quality personal images
Athletes building a portfolio or media kit
Each private session is planned around the surfer, the conditions, and the intended outcome. Surf Port Lab will consider swell, tide, wind, light, safety, and location when planning the shoot.

Delivered images include a personal/social use license unless otherwise agreed. This allows personal sharing and non-commercial use by the surfer.
Private sessions are weather and condition dependent. If conditions are unsafe or unsuitable, the session may be rescheduled.

For commercial projects, Surf Port Lab can provide a custom quote based on the shoot requirements and the intended image usage.
For locations beyond this range, travel arrangements and any additional costs will be discussed after your booking request and before the photoshoot is confirmed.
What file Type and what file size will I receive with a digital download?
Your digital download will be delivered as a high-quality JPEG file in sRGB colour, sized at approximately 4000px on the long edge. It is designed to work well for personal printing, screen use, and everyday sharing.
Can I customize a photography package to fit my needs?
Yes. Private shoots can be tailored to suit the type of imagery you're after, the location, conditions, and whether the session is for personal or commercial use.
